On 30 September 2020, the Queensland Treasurer tabled The NIISQ Agency Annual Report 2019-20 in the Queensland Parliament.
The report looks a little different from our previous annual reports to comply with new austerity measures established by the Queensland Government. The measures align with the Queensland Government’s priority to deliver cost effective administration throughout all its departments and agencies during this time.
The NIISQ Agency Annual Report 2019-20 features our key achievements over the last financial year which have enabled us to achieve our vision of Making Lives Better.
These achievements include:
- Our seamless provision of treatment, care and support to NIISQ participants during the social restrictions and challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic.
- Our facilitation of participants’ return to work through the provision of necessary and reasonable funding for vocational counselling and return to work services.
- Our launch of the Research and Education initiative to support the delivery of projects, led by the research and education sector, that will have real benefit for participants.
- Our collaborative partnerships with providers and other stakeholders, including hospitals and disability advocacy groups, to support our work in empowering participants to live their best life.
Specifically, the NIISQ Agency Annual Report 2019-2020 details our performance between1 July 2019 and 30 June 2020, highlighting our progress against the objectives set out in our Strategic Plan 2016-2020.
