National Injury Insurance Scheme Queensland (Motor Vehicle Accidents)
The Scheme provides necessary and reasonable treatment, care and support for eligible, serious personal injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident on or after 1 July 2016 in Queensland.
Treatment, care and support services include:
Medical and pharmaceutical treatment (e.g. doctor’s appointments, medication)
Rehabilitation (e.g. physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy)
Aids and appliances (e.g. wheelchairs)
Educational and vocational training
Home and transport modifications (e.g. ramps or bathroom rails)
Attendant care and support services (e.g. personal care and domestic services).
