What is Right to Information and Information Privacy?
The ‘Right to Information’ is the Queensland Government’s approach to giving the community greater access to information.
In 2009, the Queensland Government introduced the Right to Information Act 2009 (Qld) and Information Privacy Act 2009 (Qld). These Acts provide the Queensland public with a right to access government-held information.
The National Injury Insurance Agency, Queensland (NIISQ Agency) is committed to providing access to information it holds, unless it would, on balance, be contrary to the public interest to provide that information.
More information about right to information is available on the Queensland Government website.
