Dave is currently travelling around Australia with his family, and after an initial conversation with his Support Planner, he has been able to access services outside of Queensland and apply, via NIISQ Direct, for reimbursements from his current locations.

After signing up when the platform went live in May, Dave has completed around 15 reimbursements so far for a range of services including medication and physiotherapy.

Dave’s advice for participants who are still thinking about NIISQ Direct is:

“Just do it. It’s quick, easy and saves time. You upload your receipts directly from your phone, no more downloading forms, signing them and emailing them back. It’s all done online, in your time, from anywhere.”

“If you are travelling interstate, remember to discuss with your Support Planner first. NIISQ Direct offers flexibility and freedom, allowing me to travel but still access the services and the support that I need.

“And it is just getting better, with new features and changes happening all the time. It’s great to see the feedback we give about NIISQ Direct being taken on board.”
