In October 2025 we conducted our annual participant survey to better understand how participants feel about the support we provide. The survey, independently facilitated by Taverner Research Group, was voluntary, anonymous and open to all current participants, including those injured in workplace accidents. A total of 309 participants (or their nominated contact) took part, representing a response rate of 45.2% of our total participants at the time.

The results were overwhelmingly positive, with high satisfaction levels reported across key areas. Of the respondents:

  • 92% stated that NIISQ has played a valuable role in their lives.
  • 89% felt that NIISQ understands their accident-related needs well (52% “very well” and 37% “well”).

These results are consistent with previous years and reflect the hard work and dedication of our team. They also highlight the trusted partnerships we’ve built with participants, ensuring their accident-related needs are met while empowering them with choice and control.

Participants shared these pieces of feedback during the survey:

“I’m happy and grateful for the support we’ve received from them and it has been worthwhile. It’s helpful because this is a traumatic event that I didn’t know how to deal with.”

“They can answer all my questions and steer me in the right direction.”

“They provide the care and support that I need to maximise my independence.”

These results demonstrate that our improvement initiatives over the past 12 months are positively impacting the experiences of NIISQ participants. The updated data gathered will guide our ongoing efforts in training, internal capability building, and process enhancements to ensure we continue to deliver meaningful outcomes.

We extend our thanks to everyone who participated in the survey. Your valuable feedback allows us to evaluate how we’re performing as an Agency and provides critical insights to drive continuous improvement. Together, we’re working to maximise the experience of all NIISQ participants.
