NIISQ Participant Reference Group

NIISQ enhances our services by actively engaging participants and their families. From July 2023, we have operated our Participant Reference Group (PRG), reflecting our commitment to collaboration and improvement.

The PRG is comprised of 10 members who play a pivotal role in the ongoing enhancement of NIISQ initiatives and activities. These individuals have rich and diverse personal backgrounds and are experienced in using NIISQ services. Their invaluable stories and ideas enable the Agency to better align the scheme’s offerings with the needs and experiences of all our participants.

The PRG held their inaugural meeting in July 2023, and meet in person four times a year. For 2023 and 2024, the Queenslanders with Disability Network (QDN) have been engaged to facilitate PRG meetings and provide secretariat services.

PRG members are appointed through an expression of interest process for a period of two years. The next opportunity to apply to become a member of the PRG will be in 2025.

Current members of the PRG are:

  • Tyson Te Maro
  • Jason Driscoll
  • Peter Voight
  • Mikayla Dempsey
  • Paula Fraser
