NIISQ 2024 Participant Survey provides positive results
August 8, 2024
In May 2024 we conducted a participant survey to hear from participants, their families and their advocates how they feel about our support. Conducted independently by Enhance Research, the survey was voluntary and open to all current participants, including those injured in a workplace accident. 246 participants (or their nominated spokesperson) took part, with a response rate of 46% of our total participants at the time.
Overall satisfaction levels from respondents were very high, which was a pleasing result. Of the 246 respondents, 89% stated NIISQ played a valuable role in their lives. 9 in every 10 respondents also felt that NIISQ understood their accident-related needs very well.
These positive results reflect the hard work and dedication of our committed team, and the trusted partnership we form with participants. It is reassuring to hear we are understanding participants’ accident-related needs in a way that allows them to retain a high level of choice and control.
A NIISQ participant expressed this statement during the survey:
“To be completely honest, my accident was quite debilitating and the support from NIISQ has helped me get back to living a normal and very fulfilling life since my accident. They were very knowledgeable on the matters at hand, what levels of support I would need at what time and what courses of action to take at what point of time. Honestly, all I can say is they were excellent.”
The results show that our improvement activities over the past 12 months are assisting in providing positive experiences to NIISQ participants. We now have updated and robust data we will use to further inform our continuous improvement activities including training, internal capability building and process improvements.
We would like to thank everyone who provided their time to respond to the survey. Your valuable feedback allows us to reflect on how we are performing as an Agency, and the depth of responses we received provides opportunity to target continuous improvement activities to maximise the experience of our participants.
