The August 2026 NIISQ quarterly newsletter and Annual 2025-26 scheme insights report are now available, featuring the latest updates, achievements and stories from across the NIISQ community.

Here’s a snapshot of what you’ll find in this edition:

This year marks NIISQ’s 10th anniversary, celebrating a decade of connection, care and community. Since commencing in 2016, more than 1,000 Queenslanders with serious personal injuries have been accepted into the Scheme, helping them access the supports they need to achieve their goals, build independence and stay connected to their communities.

This edition features the story of NIISQ participant Layne, whose plans changed dramatically after a traumatic brain injury just weeks after graduating high school. Less than a year later, Layne is working towards the future she always hoped for, with NIISQ support helping her return to the activities she loves while continuing to pursue a career in agriculture.

Another key milestone this year was the release of NIISQ’s new Provider guideline, which strengthens support for service providers delivering treatment, care and support to participants, while reinforcing the Agency’s commitment to continuous improvement.

Whether you’re a NIISQ participant, healthcare professional, or industry partner, there’s something for everyone to discover in our August newsletter.
