As NIISQ continues to evolve, our focus remains on enhancing services by actively involving participants and their families.

We recently embarked on an intensive six-week project with QUT to explore how we might reshape the experience of those involved with NIISQ.

Our NIISQ Agency team was invited to present to the Appian World 2023 conference in May.

Earlier this year, we held our inaugural Participant Consultation Group, which is part of our work to co-design NIISQ services and products with participants to create resources that are fit-for-purpose.

Here at the NIISQ Agency, we are focused on supporting our participants who have been seriously injured in a motor vehicle accident in Queensland.

Motorbikes represent less than 5% of vehicles registered in Queensland but account for approximately 20% of participants entering our National Injury Insurance Scheme, Queensland (NIISQ) each year. This is not unique to Queensland, with other motor vehicle lifetime care schemes reporting an over-representation of motorbike riders and pillion passengers.
