NIISQ Direct: Because access to your supports shouldn’t depend on business hours

Participants can now use our brand-new portal, NIISQ Direct, to check approved services, view plan details, and (soon) submit reimbursements — anywhere, anytime. 

But this isn’t just a digital tool. It’s a shift in how we serve.  

NIISQ Direct is the result of hard work across our team, and, most importantly, co-designed with our pilot group and Participant Reference Group. Working directly with NIISQ participants throughout the design and development phases of this project meant we could create a portal that provides the information that matters to participants, and that they will use with every feature reflecting: visibility, flexibility, and control. It has also allowed us to identify and solve problems as they arose, and the results speak for themselves!  

Following go live on 2 May, participants were invited to sign up and the response so far has been fantastic.

Here are some of the key features of NIISQ Direct: 

  1. User-friendly interface: the portal is designed to be intuitive and easy to navigate. 
  1. Service viewing: participants can easily view their approved services, promoting better tracking and understanding. 
  1. Goal tracking: the platform enables participants to track their goals, encouraging motivation and engagement in their recovery process. 
  1. Seamless communication: NIISQ Direct facilitates efficient communication between participants and the NIISQ team. 
  1. Future enhancements: the team is continually working to provide useful and beneficial tools that will further uplift participants’ experiences with NIISQ Direct. An exciting new feature coming soon is the reimbursement process, which will streamline and simplify an important process that matters to many of our participants and their families. 

We are excited about the journey ahead and look forward to seeing how NIISQ Direct will continue to evolve and improve, delivering even greater benefits to our participants. Stay tuned for more updates!
