Spinal Cord Injury Awareness Week

September 2nd, 2019

Today marks the beginning of Spinal Cord Injury Awareness Week, which runs through until Sunday 8 September 2019. The national week is an initiative of the Australian Spinal Injury Alliance and aims to raise awareness of the daily lives of people who have a spinal cord injury.

This important week challenges perceptions of what it means to live with a spinal cord injury. Our participant-centred culture reflects this, where every day our Support Planning team empower participants to achieve their goals and live their best lives.

Chris is a NIISQ participant who is working towards his goal of returning to driving. He is proof that, with a positive mindset and the right support, you can achieve great things.

We wish to thank Chris for sharing his story with us.
